Martini put up a tent in Hanover Square and served drinks. It was a very good idea.
I'm sure it was just like spotting an oasis after days in the desert. We'd been seriously shopping for hours and we were parched and exhausted. Walking from New Bond Street toward the tube we spotted it, rising in front of us. A marquee serving drinks. Ah, life is good.
So we sat our weary selves down and ordered a sampler, and what do you know, they were delicious. Note to boozemongers everywhere - make it easy for us to try your stuff (at Waitrose, Hanover Square or anywhere) and we will convert.
And so we bring to you four really delicious long drink recipes, perfect at home on the terrace or in your favourite bar (or anyplace you'd drink Pimm's).
Our favourite is the Bianco & apple juice, and with only one unit of alcohol per drink, we can drink them all day, guilt free! Yes, life is good.
70ml Martini Bianco
140ml apple juice
slice of lime
70ml Martini Extra Dry
140ml ginger ale
slice of lime
70ml Martini Rosato
140ml pomegranate juice
slice of lime
70ml Martini Rosso
140ml cranberry juice
slice of orange
