This subterranean eatery in the heart of Fitrovia has, since opening, enjoyed the reputation of being one of the London's best Spanish Tapa's restaurants, largely due to the dedication of Head Chef, Jean Philippe Patruno, in sourcing the best ingredients from the UK and Spain.
As a party of four, we decided to make selections for the table. From the Para Picar selection, the crab croquetas where a little disappointing, especially at £7 for three, however the ham croquetas (£5.50) got a thumbs up, and the chorizo and potato chips (£3) where the favourite of the night.

From the Cold Meats we selected the Spanish cold meat platter (£12) which featured a selection of Iberico chorizo and lomo with wind-dried beef. Moving passed the Specials (which included a very tempting Langoustines a la Plancha (£17.50 for 2), we moved onto the Meats. Highly recommended was the rib eye of beef with piquillo peppers and picos (£19.70). A little messier, but no less tasty, was the crisp pork belly (£11.50)

All tables have a turnaround time of two hours, which was annoyingly shortened to an hour and half on our visit, resulting in us finishing our dessert, the classic Spanish dessert of donuts and ice cream, in the bar.

As with all Tapas restaurants, we came away thinking about the things we didn't get around to ordering, which I guess is why Fino has such a large amount of return custom!

Here Is The Writer : Martin Gallagher

Martin Gallagher Martin Gallagher has never played for West Ham or England, nor had a number one hit single, but he has worked in the City for many years (for what that's worth). A life-long Londoner, he made the migration from east to west a few years back and is still trying to get used to the absence of fried chicken takeaways and the over abdundance of coffee shops. Martin is married, has two daughters, and is also interested in travelling, football and writing. He hopes to publish his first novel 'sometime in the future'.
