If you have any reservations about visiting India, forget them. It has it all, top hotels; delicious food, magnificent sights, stunning scenery, great shopping and you feel very safe.
For a first visit to India the Golden Triangle, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, is a wonderful trip. Old Delhi has changed little since medieval times with the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid mosque and the ancient perfume market.
In contrast, New Delhi feels very European with wide tree lined avenues and elegant buildings. The Oberoi hotel in New Delhi has a great atmosphere - very buzzy and vibrant. For nearly two centuries, the Rambagh Palace has been home to Indian royalty. It is now a hotel run by the Taj group and it is their jewel in the crown'. Finally, for animal lovers a great option is a trip to Ranthambore National Park, home to the Indian tiger. There are also several other national parks to visit if you have the time.
