The International Herald Tribune reports that a new book, 'On Top Of The World', is soon to be published which tells the story of Cantor Fitzgerald boss Howard Lutnick's life for six months after the September 11th terrorist attacks. The author, Tom Barbash, was shadowing Lutnick during that time..
It appears that the book was Lutnick's idea, who seems to have used the experience to help him through the difficult and emotional times which immediately followed the attacks. He said: 'My life had become surreal. I just wanted help in trying to remember. I wanted someone who was at least one step removed'.

The written work was originally planned to be a memorial for the 658 Cantor employees and the others who lost their lives almost 18 months ago. Somewhere along the way Lutnick and Barbash, who were Pennsylvania schoolmates, decided that they had a book. Part of the proceeds from the book will go to the relief fund for the Cantor survivor families.

Cantor has so far given around $90m out of its profits to the families of its September 11th victims.
