Following on the heels of the extremely successful (and endlessly fun) Dangerous Book For Boys comes The Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys (Things To Do). Never again will you be bored, turn on the telly or want to head to the pub. Unless it's to share what you've learned.
British writer Susan Hill (who brought us the West End ghost story The Woman in Black) is back with Going Down of the Sun, her fourth book chronicling the adventures of Detective Simon Serrailler, and you can be assured of a suspenseful read.
If that's too scary for you, perhaps you should read The Diana Chronicles, by Tina Brown, which given the credibility of the author, won't be quite as scary as some Diana books.
And for your job, it's got to be Fooled by Randomness (The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets). Apparently it's not only enlightening but also entertaining, although finding out it's chance and not skill may not be so fun for some of us....

I've given Dangerous to mates w/sons to do together- isn't there a girl's version out as well? 2 more books my kids love: The Boys' Book- How to Be the Best at Everything and the Science Museum's Why is Snot Green? Things you thot you'd never learn!
