Those of you working around Liverpool Street have no excuse - even if you're not contemporary dance fans. For 30 minutes over 30 consecutive days, Paul-Andre Fortier will be outside the station dancing as part of Solo 30x30.
And if modern dance is just an abstract concept for you, don't worry - Betsy Gregory, Artistic Director of Dance Umbrella gets it.

"I love the idea of presenting something inspiring and surprising to people who would never normally consider contemporary dance and would certainly never step foot inside a theatre to see it."

Solo 30x30 is part of Dance Umbrella's 2007 Festival, which takes place through October and into November. A full list of events can be found here.

Fortier, who hails from Montreal, has already done the dance in his hometown, as well as in Newcastle; Nancy, France; Ottawa, Canada; Yamaguchi, Japan and Bolzano, Italy.

And although the movements are the same everyday, every segment is different, due to the weather, environment and public. Should you want to know what you're getting into first, you can read a blog on the performance here.

So don't miss the opportunity to get some culture quickly and easily, before rewarding yourself with an original glazed.
