From user Top Five lists, new site Poll the People has made one, big mack daddy list for the best albums, films and books of all time. (OK, so that's three lists.)
Once you sign up and post your Top Five list (which is tallied into the database for the master lists), you'll be able to see people who share entries with you - leading to a great source for recommendations. And in today's culture, where much of what you hear played on the radio and reviewed in print is driven by business, this is very valuable.
You can also rate other people's lists, check out celebrity lists (but note that their lists don't carry any more weight than yours), and should you have a few free hours in your week, create groups around topics that allow you to communicate with others who love, let's say, Slayer. Or Girls Aloud.
So what's on the Greatest Albums, Films and Books lists?
As days are still early in the site, it's clear that Girls Aloud fans got a bit crazy on the site.
