This weekend we think about Bastille Day. And Swedish suits. And sleeping. And drinking (as usual). And, if you've got the right accent, TV auditions.
Eat

This Monday is Bastille Day. In honour of it, visit Angelus in Bayswater on Sunday for their special three-course lunch. The £46 menu includes a Kir Royal or Richard, half bottle of wine, half bottle of water, calamari or rabbit, roast chicken or ratatouille and dessert (£46 per person; 020-7402 0083). C'est Magnifique!

Drink

While speaking of Tower Hill, venture just a few more feet east and visit the newly opened Cape in Thomas More Square. Formerly a rather sad office complex pub, this much swankier new Barracuda Group spot offers a much better spot for after work drinks, and free wi-fi, should you need an afternoon work escape.

Buy

The gap in the bespoke suit market (that's the reasonably priced one) is shrinking. First we had Suitsupply from Holland, now we have Suitopia from Sweden. Made-to-measure has never been more reasonable, so - sorry, what's your excuse?

Audition

Are you an American (like, one with an American accent)? If so - and if you have a lot of general knowledge stuffed in your brain - audition to be a contestant on the US version of "Who Dares Wins", being filmed in the UK in the next few months. It'll be shown on GSN - The Network of Games - so your boss doesn't even need to know why you called in sick on that Tuesday afternoon. Drop us a line and we'll send you an application.

Escape

Can't sleep? Surrey's Grayshott Spa (which was Tatler's & Conde Nast's Spa of the Year in 2007) has joined up with the London Sleep Clinic to create new four- and seven-day De-Stress programmes. They include sleep consultations and fabulous treatments (fabulous even if you can sleep) to help guests get back on the sleep track and avoid the health problems that come with bad sleep patterns.
