Socially responsible citizens eat locally grown food, play poker for charity, hit the road on foot, and do something about injustices. Then they celebrate their good selves with a shot of vodka. In our world, anyway.
Eat
Fans of Bumpkin rejoice! The Notting Hill eatery opened an outpost in South Kensington a few days ago. Comfort food (locally sourced), country music and super comfy private dining rooms. Perfect for an autumn dinner.
Drink
How did we not know about the infused vodkas at Baltic? Ah, the missed opportunities (we probably wouldn't have remembered anyway). Our informant stuck with the Polish Martini, but reports multiple pages of options. Apparently the food is pretty good too.
Walk
With a few beautiful days ahead, get thee to Walkit.com, a site dedicated to helping you get from A to B on foot. They offer maps and directions that avoid pollution, and include information on distance, walking time, calories burned and CO2 emissions avoided. But their post code mapping isn't always perfect, so have a back-up map in case you're unfamiliar with your destination.

If poker's your game, play for charity at the next instalment of the Sparks Celebrity Poker on Thursday the 6th of November at The Sportsman Casino. Sparks funds research for all types of paediatric medicine, so click here for more.
Complain
The Congestion Charging Scheme is so technically sophisticated, yet there's no way to find out if you have to pay or not. Seriously. And we're sure we're not the only ones who have aimed to hit the line at 6:03 only to be a few minutes early. But too early? Who knows? So of course we pay, just in case, and maybe unnecessarily. Let's write Boris and tell him this has got to change.
