We know. Another American import. But come on, this is a country that LOVES fancy dress. Just don't forget to buy candy for the kids who might knockin' on your door.
Eat

Speaking of kids, if you've got them, take them to the Chicago Rib Shack for a Halloween party. They're offering a themed menu, costume competition, haunted booth and games. On Sunday afternoon, Mango Tree is having a Thai Halloween with face painting, apple bobbing, and pumpkin carving. And after 7pm, it's a party for adults only, with a prize for the best costume.

Drink

This week we send a nod to Fluid Foundation, which has put togethera list of London's Most Haunted Venues, including London Stone (109 Cannon Street). But our choice would be Garlic & Shots on Frith Street, where every night is Halloween.

Club

While there are plenty of options for Halloween nights, The Strongroom in Shoreditch is offering one that goes all day. It starts at noon today with scary films and bloody drinks and morphs into 'deathly disco rockin'. And it's free!

Carve

Never carved a pumpkin? It's not too late. Get thee to your local supermarket, buy one with a good shape (good is open to interpretation) and follow this very easy guide.

Watch

Prefer to stay in, eat pumpkin seeds and drink red wine? Then at least watch a scary film. Times list of the Top 25 Horror Movies is as inspired as the films it recommends.
