Relax, renew, give, photograph, eat. In that order, please.
Relax
Stressed-out Canary Wharfers rejoice - there's a new spa in town. Six Senses is located in the Pan Penninsula, and is open until 9pm during the week. The 7K square-foot oasis offers relaxation rooms, couples' treatment rooms, a bio-thermal circuit and memberships, should you require daily visits.
Renew
Sure your driving license is good until you're 70. But did you know that the photo card expires after 10 years? Not many people do. The DVLA started issuing cards in July 1998, so cards are expiring every day, and people are missing it because the fine print is a little too fine (the date on section 4b, with a small explanation on the back of the card). No one has yet been fined the £1K for driving with an expired photo card, but that could change as it becomes common knowledge. So check your license, driver.
Give
The fifth-annual "I'm a Banker - Get Me Out of Here" is taking place this weekend on the grounds of the Little Havens Children's Hospice in Thundersley, Essex. One hundred bankers will join the Deutsche Banker father of a little girl who requires regular treatment at the hospice, with the goal of raising £500K. It may be too late for you to join them, but it's not too late for you to give to their cause.
Photograph
Got some extra time these days (and a desire to improve your photography skills in a far-away land)? Sign up for a trip to Borneo and fulfil several of your desires at once. The nine-day trip is well priced, given what you get: workshops and mentoring from a UK-based professional photographer from the region, five star hotels, food and some transportation (longboat but not airplane).
Eat
It's British Pie Week. You didn't know? (And what exactly does that mean?) It ends on Sunday, so here's your chance. Visit one of Renaissance Pubs five south London locations and get a pie and a pint for a tenner (offer ends on the 15th of March). Or you could just visit Maggie Jones for a delicious chicken & artichoke pie, eat to your heart's content at Square Pie, or just make your own.
