Free

Visit a farm - because you can.

Attend a lecture - by choice - at Gresham College. Their free lectures are first come, first served, and are often given by names you know.

After lunch at Borough Market, take an audio tour of Southwark Cathedral (and then visit their great gift shop).

After the pub, ride the £2 dodgems at Namco Station in the old County Hall.

Get a little culture at the Royal Opera House, where standing room seats start at £4.

Get a new haircut from a student at Toni & Guy. And if you check out Gumtree, you'll find listings for graduates offering specific services.

Under £7

Check out an up-and-coming band at the Barfly in Camden, where tickets are usually under £7.

Check out one of London's last lidos, where you can swim and picnic.

Under £10

Visit The Kitchen in Parsons Green and learn how to make a great meal, which you'll then get to take home with you. Most servings cost under £7 each and look divine.

Rent an electric boat with some pals and get on the river.
