Your Dad. He taught you how to ride a bike, slid you a fiver when you had no dosh for the cinema, and advised you to most definitely marry that woman (and as importantly, kept his mouth shut about the preceding 12). This weekend is his weekend.
Eat
Need a last-minute idea for Sunday? Take your Dad to Taste of London, and eat your way through Regent's Park. Tickets are still available for Sunday (as well as Saturday evening), and if you've never been, it's culinary happiness on a stick.
Deliver
Bars - as in cookies and bars - are as American as the 4th of July. Think brownie meets cookie with more stuff going on, and notice how your mouth start to water. Your dad needs some. You need some. So order them from Brown Sugar Cookies, a new cookie and bar company started by two American girls in London, and enjoy a truly international food.
Swim
Not the most original gift, but we love them anyway. And if you need to buy a gift for your husband from your too-young son, may we recommend you don't forget about matching Vilebrequin trunks. There's a location at the Royal Exchange to make your last-minute shopping easy.
Carry
We're big fans of Built products. Made from wetsuit material, their products for carrying things (like wine bottles, baby bottles, lunch, or gear) are cool looking and super functional. We especially like this for your techie dad/husband - a laptop case that has side pockets for things like mice, power cords, USB sticks and headphones. What a great idea.
Book
Get tickets to take your dad to Cartier International Day at Guards Polo Club in Surrey on the 26th of July. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Cartier's sponsorship, and the England team will be playing Argentina. If that's not his style, then just take him to the Gaucho Grill.
