Here Is The City (HITC) is pleased to announce the launch of our 2008 Financial Markets Awards, which will recognise the best firms and brightest individuals in the financial markets community. 34 provisional awards, across 5 categories, are scheduled to be run from September.
Cost-effective branding
HITC acknowledges we are in uncertain times, and that marketing budgets are currently under pressure. We believe that we can offer suppliers to the financial markets community an inexpensive sponsorship opportunity to promote their brand to HITC's 116,000 unique users by sponsoring an Award. Many of our regular readers are the decision-making professionals who will have the power to sign-off on using your services.
The key draw of sponsoring a HITC award is the longevity of the branding you will receive during the pre-launch publicity, the duration of the polls and post-results coverage. This branding will showcase your firm on all HITC News stories, which currently is hitting up to 1.4 million page impressions each month.
Awards polling schedule
May - September - the running of the polls will be promoted on the site, complete with a banner and weblink for each firm sponsoring an Award.
September - November - the polls will be run online in tranches for a 2 week period (NB - we have decided to group the Awards together in order to generate the maximum amount of interest from all financial markets constituencies).
December - the results of the polls will be published on HITC.
January - December 2009 - the results will feature on a special Awards micro-site, which will be accessible on all HITC News stories and specific sections on our Career site.
Champagne reception at The House of Commons
HITC will be hosting a buffet and champagne reception for the conclusion of the Awards at the House of Commons Terrace on November 19th. Award sponsors will be invited along and will be able to bring a limited number of guests.

What you get for your sponsorship
Sponsoring any of the 2008 HITC Financial Markets Awards will provide:
- Exposure on HITC News for a minimum 4 months period.
- Inclusion on our Awards micro-site until the Awards are run again in 2009 (12 months exposure).
- A 2 week PR window (before the results are published on HITC) for you to promote interest in your poll results to the media of your choice.
- The opportunity to select your own metrics and judging panel (if appropriate) for the Award of your choice.
- An invitation for 5 (including guests) to the post-Awards champagne reception at The House of Commons Terrace on November 19th.
Cost of sponsorship
The Company Awards cost £5,000 plus VAT, with a 50% non-refundable deposit (£2,500) required upfront, and the remaining 50% due at the launch of the results in September.
The remainder of the Awards cost £4,000 plus VAT, with a 50% non-refundable deposit (£2,000) required upfront and the remaining 50% due at the launch of the results in September.
