This evening I was on the bus and witnessed Unnecessary Aggro Passenger Activity. And it pissed me off. Should I be doing something to counter this?
The driver was nice enough, and nodded when I swiped my Oyster card and said, "Thanks".
Then he was very nice, and opened the doors at a red light for a guy who ran up a few metres after the bus stop.
And the The Passenger got on, after two other people.
"You almost didn't stop. Am I supposed to wave you down through three buses?" he demanded.
(Unintelligible something from the driver.)
"Huh? Am I? What's your number? And I don't like your attitude either."
He then stomped to his seat, which was one in the front of the bus, normally reserved for those less able to stand.
This jerk was just looking for someone to beat up on, and this poor driver just happened to be in his path.
So what's going to happen now? Will he write a letter to TFL complaining about this driver? And will this driver get in trouble because of an angry jackass? Or will he have an understanding supervisor who knows this kind of passenger and will rip up the letter before it goes anywhere?
Just in case he doesn't, I'm sending this to TFL.
