I know, it's weird. I should be writing about how much I love my new haircut, my husband, or the fabulous gift he gave me. But in a world of shoddy service, right now I love my masterfully re-soled shoes, my magically repaired bag and three keys that work perfectly.
And best of all, the tote bag (which I paid too much for, and could only handle a few measly kilos, not the full breadth of laptop, wallet, phone, PDA, three tubes of lip gloss, two tubes of lip balm, hand lotion, pens, Oyster card, hair band, book, Moleskin City Guide and bottle of water) cost me all of £10, fancy handwork included.
Admittedly, the shoes were the same price as Timpson's, down the street, but the difference in quality was easy to see.
So where is this haven of so many things good?
Mere steps from Liverpool Street Station, where Houndsditch and Bevis Marks meet at a calming street called Camomile.
Appropriately named, don't you think?
In fact, when I got the bag back, I said, "Seriously, can't I pay more?"
He laughed but refused, so I promised myself I'd become a regular - and shout my appreciation from the proverbial, modern-day mountain top.

Foreign-born Madame B thinks she's a City girl, but mostly just walks our streets checking things out and searching for the best wi-fi hotspots offered by The Cloud. You can spot her typing furiously on her shiny white MacBook, wearing dark sunglasses and drinking a glass of champagne. She's one half of the Shopaholics, which might explain things...
