Prospect of London on a credit crunch bonus got you down? You're not alone. AXA is calling on UK business owners to give their employees an hour off to get their personal finances in order.
Admittedly it's a promotional vehicle, but the the time is certainly right.
So in November AXA will launch My Budget Day, a campaign to encourage UK adults to commit one hour a month to sorting out their finances.
We're with you - the idea of living on a budget hurts. However, as we all know, money is one of the biggest contributors to stress, even when you're still getting a bonus far above the average London wage (which in case you need a reality check is £37,323).
And let's face it, stress leads to illness, which leads to missed work and that leads to decreased workplace productivity.
So it's in the interest of UK businesses to help their employees out - especially if they can't help out with more cash.
