That's just what awaited Devang Ghandi (in blue shirt), a GCSE student at Preston Manor High School in Brent, after he and his team drew up the winning 'green' table entry and rollout plan in June.
During his work experience stint at Poolia, Devang helped out across the floor, gaining experience in a variety of roles including HR, Marketing, IT, Accounts, Sales and Business Development.
"Getting to see all areas of the business added to my experience and I would have to say the hardest and my least favourite part of the placement was leaving at the end of the two weeks," Devang said.
The high school's Poolia mentor, associate director Nicola Penn, awarded Devang the placement for excelling most within the winning team.
Poolia's World of Work corporate social responsibility project followed the progress of over 60 students formulating business plans across ten North-London schools mentored by the firm's staff.
And what of the table? Poolia-branded no less, it is currently being produced by the Design House for the firm's offices across Europe. Here Is The City hopes Devang gets equal branding billing and wishes him well. Welcome to the World of Work!
