Getting Lovestruck Over Lunch

Having tried various dating websites over the past three or so years (with a few flings in between but nothing long lasting) I have now set up a profile on Lovestruck London.
I had all but given up on internet dating, with previous experiences on:
  • Zoodate (actually Udate but some men on that site should be in a zoo)
  • mysinglefriend (just as it was starting up, had no dates from that one)
  • Match (had a brief relationship, but just wasn't meant to be)
  • Dating Direct (refused profile picture as it was too large. I'm five-foot-one - how can it be too large?!?!)

A friend suggested I try Lunch Date London - now called Lovestruck London. (Why do I not learn, I ask myself?)

But nothing ventured nothing gained, so I find myself with yet another profile in which to be utterly charming.
  • Hate shopping
  • Don't mind watching football and rugby
  • Hate soaps
  • Enjoy red wine (goes well with steak)

Find a profile pic so as to not seem like a complete butch female, and hope for the best.

Well, it's a nice idea meeting for lunch, but working far west is not really making my chances of lunch possible.

I have so far been on three dates - only one has resulted in a second date and that fizzled out shortly after. Seems the thought of anything more than casual sex shrunk their manhood to two walnuts and a raisin, and they quickly retreated to their normal hunting grounds.

I continue to live by the motto that you can't help but try to attempt to 'date'. Not only do I enjoy meeting new people, but friends love to hear of the stories of the latest prospective beau, and to be honest it beats any of what the soaps have to offer.

Consider the guy who was on anti-depressants, lived on pure adrenaline for twelve months after a motorbike accident, then couldn't stop crying for two weeks. But this wasn't the reason for ending our liaison.

My main concern was that his mom still did his washing even though he owned his own home.
