Spring is in the air, and you know what that means. Short skirts, short sleeves and trips to places involving bathing suits are just around the bend. In case you lost the motivation you found at New Year's, let these charts inspire you to get it back.
First, let's not forget - it's as important to lose weight for health as it is for looks. Right? Uh yeah, right. *
The two charts on the right show the ideal body weight for men and women, courtesy of www.weightlossresources.co.uk.
You can also see them online - the Ideal Body Weight Chart for Men here and for Women here.
And all you have to do is:
If you're in the white (with a BMI of 20-25), you're in good shape.
And if you're in the blue (with a BMI below - < - 20), you're underweight.
Of course, a more accurate analysis of your BMI can be done by a fitness professional, but it usually involves squeezing the fat on your arms. You can also calculate your BMI by dividing your weight in kilos by your height in meters.
* We do actually believe that statement to be true, despite the fact we're a bit shallow - but very mathematically inclined - on this point.

And all you have to do is:
- Find your height on the bottom (the X axis)
- Find your weight in stones on the left (the Y axis)
- The point of intersection (the intersection) roughly reveals your BMI - or body mass index
